In general, image processing has not changed (much) from the first implementation of Video Client back in 2003. My diploma thesis (language: German) gives detailed information about this.

Command Line Parameters

videoclnt3.exe [-offline] [file_to_load]

Note:

If the parameter 'offline' is used, Video Client 3 will start up without any online connection. This way, the startup may be much faster. Because if not offline, TINE namespace may be scanned for servers and TINE addresses used in the client will be checked whether they work as expected, which may take a while.

The parameter 'file_to_load' refers to a file name (with or without path) which will be loaded on startup. If no path is given, the working directory will be searched for the file.

files types that can be loaded in are IMC, IMM and Windows BMP files
The support for BMP files is limited (256 indexed colour and 24 bits (true colour) uncompressed BMP images are supported)).

in front of a parameter '-' as well as '/' is allowed

the order of the parameters does not matter
